Best park in Brampton – Chinguacousy Park

We recently discovered Chinguacousy Park in Brampton, Ontario . Also known as Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park or ‘Chin Park’ for short. Visit Chinguacousy Park for more information about the park!

Big Play Structure at Chinguacousy Park

This park has so much to offer! The park has:

  • 2 playgrounds
  • Splash pad
  • Wading pool
  • Farm animals
  • Petting zoo (closed due to covid)
  • Children’s Garden (closed due to covid)
  • Paddle boats (open Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
  • Tennis courts
  • Beach volleyball
  • Picnic areas
  • Mini golf (closed due to covid)
  • Train ride (closed due to covid)
  • Ski hill and tubing (winter)
  • Ice skating (winter)

The kids had so much fun at the park. The main playground is massive and has 3 different play structures geared to different ages. The big structure is great for older kids with lots of different slides, a rock wall, climbing ropes and other climbing structures. The two tall spinning slides have a rope climb to get to it so it might be a challenge for younger kids or may need an adult to assist them. There are 2 small structures that are suitable for toddlers. And lots of little play structures. There is a swing set next to the playground structure and on the other side is the splash pad.

Across from the parking lot is a shallow wading pool which is perfect for toddlers and young kids. Next to the pool are the farm animals and petting zoo. During covid, the petting zoo was not open but you can still walk through the area to see the animals. They had lots of horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, alpacas and peacocks.

This is a great park for families, outdoor gatherings and picnics. We saw a couple summer camps there, too.

Wading Pool area

It was a perfect day for our family. We played at the play structures and visited the farm animals. If we had more time we would have packed a picnic lunch and go to the splash pad or wading pool to cool off. The park is free to visit and lots of free parking available. Now that we know about this place we would definitely come back again.

Let me know if you’ve been to this park before or if you plan to visit!
